* CAMTRA together with Young Women
Inside the organization there is a Young Women Center that was created from the will of young female activists that work in CAMTRA in passing forward what they were learning on the projects and at the same time learn from the new female youngsters. Between 2002 and 2008 CAMTRA worked permanently together with young students in the Sarah Kubitschek Education Institute (Campo Grande) and with the Professor Moysés Herinque dos Santos (São João de Meriti). There we were able to work together with other young women debating issues related to sexual health, social rights, violence against women, gender, race/ethnicity, unplanned pregnancy, homophobia, non-sexist forms of education and others. The activities involved workshops, campaigns and new leaders’ formation, which strengthened the youth to youth debate and feminist movements, while also created new ways to renovate those movements.

Only between 2005 and 2008 there were already 6465 young participants on the activities of formation developed by the Young Women of CAMTRA Center.

Nowadays within the main actions developed by this Center there are:

* CAMTRA courses:

- “Young Women Defending their Rights”

With the formation of new leaders that will defend women’s rights while motivating other to do the same; with the incentive and strengthening of actions designed by youngsters and also aimed to them in organizations of women and youngsters, communitarian groups, social movements, community and schools.

* CAMTRA Together with the Informal Female Workers:
This new action developed by CAMTRA aims women that work in the informal sphere having as their goal design public policies. Thos policies will fight against the precarious and unequal gender based situation especially of this market sector.

Initially the development of this project is directed to reach a certain work field. It will collect data about the life quality and work conditions of female informal workers and about their access to public policy. The project will take place in the SAARA Trade Center and the surrounding area in the city of Rio de Janeiro.

.After this mapping CAMTRA will aim to contribute with the public visibility of those workers life quality, work conditions and their main needs and demands. Furthermore, the organization will dedicate itself in the production and publication of informative material designed to informal female workers. This material will bring information about the main issues presented by the mapping data, such as addresses of the associations and entities of this categories, ways of legalizing their status, professional qualification courses, child day-care centers, public defense and other organisms where they can have access to their rights. There will also be informative meetings with those informal female workers.

* CAMTRA Together SAARA Female Workers
This project was developed in 1999 and it has as its main goal to spread social rights, sexual health and violence against women information to female workers in the SAARA Trade Center in the business center of Rio de Janeiro city.

The permanent work of formation of female workers in the SAARA Trade Center is based in two main actions: the creation of an informative tent, with public classes and spread of the informative material about sexual health, violence against women and social rights. Second, register these female workers that receive monthly the informative material and preservatives so that they can forward them to other female workers on the stores they work.

Our most recent strategy to work together with those women was the production of a documentary in 2008 called “I am self-esteem”. It portrays the life conditions of female workers in the SAARA Trade Center and Female Workers Center: Life and Rights, gathering the main female workers’ rights.

Besides the permanent activities of informing those workers - with meetings, informative tent, materials and preservatives distribution, nowadays we are also investing in diagnosis even bigger related to the life and work conditions of these female workers basing in field research.

This work has already directly reached about 34 thousand people within SAARA female workers, by-passers and clients.

Address of our tent in SAARA: Av. Passos in the corner with Rua da Alfândega – We are there every fifteen days on Fridays from 11AM to 3.30 PM.
